Miss Scotland 2010

The Berkeley Clinic is delighted to welcome Miss Scotland 2010 Nicola Mimnagh.

The Berkeley Clinic was one of this years main sponsors looking after the 10 finalists in the lead up to the grand final on June 19th. The girls visited the clinic receiving treatment and whitening to help complete their look for the big night.

In association with GLAM in the city this event was hosted by Gok Wan  in Glasgows George Square. After batteling it out for the top prize Nicola Mimnagh was crowned this years Miss Scotland 2010.

The team at the Berkeley Clinic are delighted to be looking after Nicola throughout her reine. This will be a fabulous year for her.

GLAM in the city

This fabulous event held last weekend in Glasgows George Square was a huge success.

3 days and nights of pure indulgence. This event hosted by Gok Wan and Lorraine Kelly was a fashion, health and beauty extravaganza!

The Berkeley Clinic took pride of place in the Health and beauty section. Over  3 days over 8,000 women approched our stand looking for advise on Cosmetic dentistry and Aesthetic treatments.

We would like to thank everyone involved.

Dr Mike Gow has been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Anxiety Management from the University of Edinburgh.

The graduation ceremony will take place in July.

‘The Fearful Dental Patient’

Fear of dentistry is probably more common that you may have realised. The British Dental Association stated a few years ago that ‘one adult in three has moderate to severe fear of dental procedures’.

Dr Mike Gow Clinical Director of  Dental Anxiety Management was approched to write a chapter for a new book called ‘The Fearful Dental Patient’  by Arthur Weiner (ed), published by Wiley Blackwell.

This fantastic book is going to print soon and will be available in book stores across the UK  early 2011.

Britains hardest working feet

Clyde 1 in association with Scholl are running a campaign searching for Britains hardest working feet. Keeping Britain on its feet campaign is celebrating ordinary, hard working British people who are keeping this country going.

Dental nurse Charlotte Curran (RDN) has been nominated as one of the hardest working girls in town. The results will be announced on Friday 28th and the winner will receive £1000 in cash and the pamper squad at your work place. This fantastic prize will loved by all so get voting for “Lottie” on Clyde 1/feet.
