Consultant Maxilofacial and Facial Aesthetic Surgeon
Mr John C Devine BDS,MBChB,FDSRCS(Eng),FRCS(Eng),FRCS(OMFS)

Consultant/Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. Based at the Regional Maxillofacial Unit, Southern General Hospital, Glasgow. After qualifying as a General Surgeon he undertook extensive training in General Surgery, Plastic and Burns Surgery before embarking on higher professional training in Maxillofacial Surgery in the world-renowned unit in Liverpool. He was awarded the intercollegiate FRCS (OMFS) in 2000. In 2001, he was awarded the prestigious Norman Rowe Prize for his clinical research in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He now specialises in the surgical management of Oral and Facial cancer and microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck area.

Dr. John Murray. BDS Glas, MSc Lon (implant dentistry)

John is one of the only two candidates to have graduated with distinction on the Master's Program in Implant Dentistry at London's Eastman Dental Institute. He lectures on oral implantology in the UK & abroad, is chairman of The Foundation for Excellence in Dental Implantology and is a clinical adviser to a leading implant manufacturer. Dr Murray has placed over 4000 dental implants and is on the specialist register. Away from dentistry, John's major interests are rock climbing & his young family.

Dr Jamie Newlands BDS Glas, LFHom RCH Glas

Dr Newlands is the head of the centre for Cerec excellence in Scotland which is based in The Berkeley Clinic. Dr Newlands underwent his postgraduate training in Cerec and advanced cosmetic dentistry in Londons Harley Street. He lectures internationally and has had several papers published on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He also teaches at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School and is a member of the Royal College of Homeopathy.

Angela Fleming RDN
Angela is our head dental nurse. Qualifying with distinction she has experience in implant nursing, sedation and recovery as well as all aspects of Cerec nursing.

Alison Clarke RDN
Alison is our patient co-ordinator. Whether you need a car to pick you up, or appointments outwith normal clinic hours Alison will endeavour to facilitate this.

Kirstin Snedden RDN
Kirstin qualified as a dental nurse in 2002 and now manages patients as the come in to the clinic.

COSMETIC SURGERY

Mr Dunaway heads up the cosmetic surgery at The Berkeley Clinic.

Mr Dunaway graduated as a doctor from the University of Manchester in 1989. After training in surgery in general, he qualified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992. He undertook his higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery in Leeds, Newcastle, London and Adelaide in Australia. He also qualified as a dentist in 1980 and is a Fellow Dental Surgeon of the Royal College of Surgeons.

After gaining his specialist fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (1996), he was appointed as a consultant Plastic Surgeon at Canniesburn Hospital in Scotland where his specialist interests were in facial deformity, Craniofacial Surgery and Head and Neck surgery. In July of 2000 he was invited to join the Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children where he now bases his NHS practice, undertaking the treatment of Craniofacial and facial conditions as well as providing a general plastic surgery service to the hospital.
In the clinic Mr Dunaway undertakes most aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery including breast augmentation and reduction, liposuction, facelifts, rhinoplasties and blepharoplasties. He has a special interest in cosmetic surgery of the face. He also has a particular interest in facial deformity including facial reconstruction after injury or from the treatment of head and neck tumours. He also takes an interest in vascular malformations and skin lesions.
