Best Young Dentist

The Dentistry UK Awards 2008, which were held at the Athena in Leicester, is one of the biggest awards in the dental calendar. It attracted more than 600 people from the UK dental world. At this ceremony our lead Phobia and anxiety dentist Dr Mike Gow won the “Best Young Dentist” award, at the prestigious event.

Mike commented “It is a great honour to be recognised at the leading young dentist and is something that I have all my team to thank, without which I do not think that any of this would be possible”

Following in Mike’s footsteps Cosmetic dentist Dr Jamie Newlands scooped “Best Young Dentist” the following year in 2009 at the delight of the whole team.

Now the 2011 Dentistry Awards are fast approaching and it’s time for another win. Dr Jamie Newlands has been shortlisted for “Best Young Dentist 2011”. Our team and patients are keeping our fingers crossed and wish Jamie the best of luck.

Mike Gow in Rome

18th International Society of Hypnosis World Congress

Dr Mike Gow, our resident expert in dental phobia mangagement and hypnosis has been invited to attend and give his expert opinions at the 18th International Society of Hypnosis World Congress in Rome.

Mike will be representing The Berkeley Clinic and the UK and discussing his techniques and thoughts on the uses of dental hypnosis in the treatment of anxious and phobic dental patients. Mike has built a reputation both nationally and internationally and he is very privileged to have been invited to this event.

Mike who created the dental anxiety and phobia support website Whatfear.com will be presenting at the congress and is the only representative from Scotland to have such an honour.
