This patient contacted the Berkeley Clinic after a previously heavily filled molar tooth had broken. The patient was very anxious and needed a quick solution as the tooth was uncomfortable and eating was difficult. The tooth may eventually require a crown. In the meantime, however, anxiety management dentist Mike Gow used a direct ‘white filling’ material (in this case ‘Admira Fusion’) to reconstruct the tooth in a single, simple, comfortable session.

This patient had a number of large, old metal fillings. A few years ago Mike replaced the broken first molar with a ‘same day’ E-max crown. Recently, the tooth behind it also started to break down and the patient returned looking for Mike to restore this tooth in the same way.

The old broken metal filling was removed, the tooth structure was then reshaped and scanned with our digital Scanner. This scan was transferred to the dental laboratory and the E-max ceramic crown was designed, milled, glazed and fired all within a couple of hours. The patient left with a stronger, more natural looking tooth, all completed in the same day.
