The Fluid Facelift
At Berkeley Clinic we use The 8 Point Lift as it is a specialised volumising and lifting facial treatment, also referred to as a non-surgical facelift or liquid facelift. Our practitioners will use dermal fillers to enhance and discreetly lift the face. The aim of this treatment is to rejuvenate the skin, restoring a youthful fresh appearance.
The 8 Point Lift is often called the “Fluid Facelift” as it targets key areas of the mid-face. It also contours and revitalises the whole mid and lower face. The main benefit of this procedure is that it is a ‘non-surgical facelift’, which means that it can be completed in just one hour.
8 Point Lift Recovery
The results of an 8 Point Lift can list up to 18 months. The 8 Point Lift uses the most advanced non-surgical techniques, that is why full recovery takes just 48 hours. Once the process has healed your face will feel lifted and rejuvenated. Our patients leave feeling younger and looking younger which is the real appeal of cosmetic treatments.
Many of our patients have returned back to work 0-24 hours after their treatment, which makes it a suitable solution for those who cannot take time off to book in for a facelift in Glasgow.
Our Facelift Scotland team will talk you through any risks and complications which may occur. Some patients may get side effects which include bruises and swelling. Your face may also feel sensitive for up to 24 Hours after the procedure.
A topical anaesthetic can also be provided. A topical anaesthetic is a local anaesthetic that is used to numb the surface of a body part. It relieves light pain for a short period of time. If this is something you would prefer please contact our facial aesthetics Glasgow team.
Booking A Consultation for Facelift Glasgow Treatments
At the Berkeley Clinic, we offer every who walks through our door a consultation. During a consultation, you will be given a better insight into how cosmetic treatments work. You will also be given the price of your bespoke treatment plan following consultation.
Every patient we treat is unique that is why we create a treatment plan that is suited to your specific needs. During your consultation, your practitioner will identify 8 key points which need to be treated in order to create the desired effects.
These 8 points lie within the same vectors as used by plastic surgeons during facelift surgery, in other words, we are pulling back and anchoring the skin in a similar way but non-surgically.
8 Point Facelift ScotlandProcess
How do our Facelifts in Glasgow work? The 8 Point lift is a unique treatment that works by enhancing the face’s natural features. As the 8 point lift is constructed with dermal fillers it is both smoothing and tightening. Dermal fillers are famous for re-contouring the shape of the face, that is why the 8 Point Lift is a popular choice for many of our patients that want to regain facial volume.
Our Dermal Fillers have been safely developed for use in the skin. The purpose of fillers is to diminish lines and wrinkles, lift and add volume. Our clinic uses hyaluronic acid based FDA approved, non-permanent, top brand dermal fillers. As hyaluronic acid is found within the body, it is highly uncommon for patients to react to this type of treatment.
Is the 8 Point Lift safe?
Dermal fillers are generally considered a safe and effective medical aesthetic treatment. Due to the level of improvement, this procedure provides mild redness and swelling is to be expected following treatment, which normally subsides within 24 hours, depending on skin sensitivity.
Some patients can also expect bruising and needle marks, which may last a few days, however, this is not uncommon. Our experts suggest that if bruising does occur that you use arnica cream or Auriderm. Another suggestion is to take anti-inflammatory medication to relieve any discomfort and swelling (i.e. Paracetamol). A detailed listing of all possible side effects will be provided to you.
Facelift Glasgow Case Study
Tina has been increasingly unhappy with her looks as she's got older, but her fear of surgery has always prevented her from receiving treatment. She's not a great fan of needles either, but as this was preferable to a scalpel, we worked hard to reassure and calm her nerves before performing the 8 Point Lift that she so desperately wanted. Needless to say, she was thrilled with the result!
Visiting Our Facelift Glasgow Clinic
If you do choose the Berkeley Clinic for your next cosmetic treatment, then we will invite you to relax in our quiet area once the treatment has been completed. Whether you would like time to retouch your make-up or whether you would like to be picked up by a loved one straight away, we can help you arrange the most suitable solution for you.
In some cases, patients may be affected by mild redness, swelling and sometimes slight bleeding at the site of injection. All of these are temporary side effects and will quickly subside. We would advise you to be gentle, taking care around the filled area for the period immediately following your treatment. We would also suggest that you avoid any unnecessary touching/pressure for the first six hours.
How Long Will This Treatment Last?
The results of this treatment vary, however, they are seen immediately and last up to 18 months. Keep in mind that dermal fillers are a short term solution and are not permanent. The great thing about these fillers is that they will naturally disappear and do not have to be removed by a member of our team.
To maintain this look over a longer period of time you can book in for follow up. If you are unsure about any aspect of this treatment, your trained physician will discuss anything you need to know with you and will inform you of when you should book in for a follow-up treatment.
To maximise the effects of Dermal Fillers we recommend you: do not rub the treated area(s) hard for 24 hours’ post-treatment; do not have sun beds or expose the area(s) to direct sunlight for 2 weeks’ post-treatment; perform your normal skincare/makeup routines without excess pressure.
*Please note, if you have regular facials inform your beautician/therapist so she can perform light massage to dermal filler treated area(s).
